We’ve been using our deep knowledge of energy policy and financing to build programs that work—even in Appalachia — since 2013. We’ve installed more than 1,300 residential and commercial solar systems across West Virginia, Southern Ohio, and Eastern Kentucky. Early on we worked with partners to launch the first solar job training and apprenticeship program in West Virginia—bringing jobs and opportunities to the coalfields. We later unionized our electrical crews through a collaboration with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and also made history as the first West Virginia solar company to become a benefit corporation.
