The Solar Power World editorial team is proud to continue our Top Solar Champions awards program that began in 2021. These four awards, open to all those employed by Top Solar Contractor companies, highlight talent in the industry in different skill areas.
The 2022 Top Solar Installer award-winner is Lisa Harwerth-Greene, site quality manager at Oakland, California’s Borrego.
Harwerth-Greene’s thoughtful leadership and effective communication have driven Borrego’s success in its first three utility-scale solar projects in Michigan this year.
From the planning stages through construction, Harwerth-Greene has improved efficiency, elevated quality and leveraged internal technology to ensure all work consistently meets quality expectations on the first pass. Harwerth-Greene is recognized by her peers and managers as a fantastic coach, leading the development and improvement of Borrego’s quality inspection templates. She starts each morning with a plan for the day that helps her team members use their time wisely.
With her keen attention to detail and organizational skills, Harwerth-Greene has helped the company’s Michigan portfolio avoid installation errors and quality problems that could result in expensive re-work or production delays. Her foresight and communication with stakeholders exceeds customer expectations and keeps jobs on track.
Robert Hensley says
I too have worked with Lisa Harwerth-Greene as have both of my brothers. We worked with her in the early days of her careers. She has always been great to work with.
Ben Anglin says
As Lisa’s Site manager I could not be more proud to see her recognized by her peers in such a prestigious way.
I have worked along side Lisa Harwerth Greene for over a year, she is a great mentor, a motivational individual, her attention to detail is hands unlike anyone else on our team!
I am proud to know Mrs.Greene, she is an inspiration to everyone on our teams, this accolade that was bestowed upon her is so very warranted and overdue.
I am proud to speak to the value not only to our teams, but to Borrego as a whole.
