Asia-Pacific Energy Group (APEG) was incorporated in 1995 under the name ELKA International BV in the Netherlands and over the years has implemented hundreds of renewable energy projects mainly in the Asia-Pacific region. The founders of ELKA Intl. decided to change their business name to APEG in 2009 and opened its head quarters in Guam (US) with service centres in Indonesia, Pohnpei (Federated States of Micronesia), United Kingdom, and The Netherlands.
